One Year
So it's been over one year since I started working full-time for Penguin Computing. We are now ready to launch our new website which my team and I have been working on non-stop for the past four months. I may be able to finally enjoy my weekends for the first time since I started working... I am also about to finally get my own bed to sleep on thanks to my brother Don and his fiancee Elissa... it only took me a year! And now my brother John and I are living in a beautiful apartment in San Bruno, a far cry from the ghetto place we lived at in fog covered Daly City. I also hope to add more pictures to my personal site as well as update my Understanding Anime site -- which has proved quite popular. I really do enjoy all the feedback I get so keep it coming!
It is kinda weird though, how practically all my Stanford friends are now graduated and how it probably won't be for at least another year or two before I return, so I may be graduating with complete strangers (well at least I'll know my intern and my lil sib!) Also, almost all my high school friends finished up, except for my best friend Loi who is taking time off to do the start-up thing as well. (he's the first guy in the breaking video) We've come a long way from goofing off 3D rendering and doing html back in high school... or then again, maybe not ;P
Actually, not too much has changed since high school...I still love anime and Hong Kong action films, play video games, roll around in my hooptie civic, listen to hip-hop, still don't drink or smoke or do any drugs ;) The only major difference is that I don't break anymore, even though it's still my favorite dancing style.
Wow, I can't believe I've been doing computer graphics and web design for over five years! But that's enough reminiscing for me...I just hope this next year will be even more fun, exciting, and rewarding and that hopefully by this time next year I will have actually finished (or at least started) my anime series.
