Body Art

A lot has been happening in the past few months, but so much and so fast that I really haven't had time to sit back and contemplate and write some reflections*, but something just happened that was just so amazing that I had to update!

When a co-worker at Penguin Computing decided to put together the first dedicated Linux Gaming System, I created a "Born To Frag" graphic, not really thinking it would ever make it beyond internal use, but we decided to bring the Gaming System to the Atlanta Linux Showcase and we used the artwork for the Tradeshow Booth Display and it got such positive response and feedback that it soon became a t-shirt, then a poster, then a bumper sticker and most amazing of all: a real tatoo!

This is not a photoshopped image, it is for real! Evan Eveland, a contributing editor to Maximum Linux Magazine, got a 3" tatoo of the Born to Frag graphic on his shoulder and will write a story about it in an upcoming issue of Maximum Linux and we even have a video clip of the process on the magazine's pack-in CD-rom! This is a picture of the tatoo in process, with the shading to be done in a month, but this was so amazing I just had to show it. (and no, Evan is not affiliated with Penguin Computing and we did not pay him to do it, it was all his idea!)

* I will probably make some fill-in updates to explain what has happened in the past few months, once things slowdown a bit and I stop working 100 hour weeks :P
