Things are all good! (actually things are all great!)

It's been a hectic and very crazy past couple of weeks. First off I wanted to say congratulations to a new Penguin and my first assistant over at Penguin Computing: Jennifer Voss, Graphic Designer extraordinaire.... eventhough she doesn't officially start til the 24th, I've very excited about having someone with her design talent and experience aboard and helping me out. It was very hard making my decision though, since a lot of talented and amazing people came out to interview and I got to admit that it was very strange and intimidating interviewing all those people... but it was very cool to dress up for work and I think an upgrade in wardrobe may come sooner than expected.

But that's just part of the crazy stuff going on in my life! So I'm in the process of moving..out of Redwood City and into Daly City. It's great because it cuts my commute in half, but at the same time it puts me a good 30-40 minutes away from Stanford. And it's a year long lease so I'm working for the long haul! Now if only I had the time and energy to actually move my stuff ;P

Also very amazing and cool is the fact that my brother Don got a house in Texas. Actually it's being built for him and it won't be ready for another six months but so that means he's kinda in texas for the long haul. It's so crazy to think that Don is practically married and practically owns his own two story, two car garge home (and that he actually has two cars to put in the garage!) I would wish him all the best of luck, but I know he doesn't need it. ;)

But the best news of all was the fact that my father officially retired last week! I'm so happy to hear that he will no longer be working and that hopefully now he can rest and relax and enjoy life more. I'm gonna have to start working on my golf game so when he comes to visit I won't be too embarrassing! But seriously, I just feel good knowing that he will no longer have to deal with the occupational stress that he had to put up with for so long and that he knows that everything will be okay and he no longer has to carry the burden of providing for the family all by himself. It's definitely times like these when I feel like all is right in the world.
